Our coaching staff is one the best you will see anywhere in the country and dedicated to pushing the athlete to be as good as they can possibly be. Our trainers have professional and college playing experience and strength trainers are Team USA certified. Contact us for more information on how we can set up up with one of our trainers.



Ruben Corral


TBTCoach Ruben prepped at Arroyo High School where he was MVP of his basketball and baseball team and League Most Valuable Player in 1993.  He was recruited by the reigning College World Series Champion Pepperdine Waves and drafted in the 10th round by the reigning World Series Champion Toronto Blue Jays.  As a pitcher, Ruben started and relieved at several minor league stops, leading the league in innings pitched and complete games while his Blue Jays won the Pioneer League Championship in 1995. 

Coach Roob is the owner of the Lifeletics Baseball Facility and has been coaching baseball since 1998.  Coach Ruben has coached at both the high school and college level.  Ruben has also coached travel baseball teams for the last 13 years and his organization has placed over 25 players into colleges in the last 3 years alone.

Charlie Phillips


charlie_phillipsCoach Charlie is one of the top private baseball trainers in Orange County with a long track record for success as a player and coach. Charlie was an All-CIF 1st Team selection at La Quinta HS and although he was taken in the 13th round by the Atlanta Braves, chose to attend USC, winning a National Championship before being redrafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 9th round. Charlie spent two years with the Dodgers before being traded to the Angels, where he spent three years, reaching AAA, winning two championships and led the Texas League in winning percentage.
Charlie teaches private lessons weekly at Lifeletics.

 

Robert Purpura


PURPGRA_16fCoach Robert was a standout pitcher and second baseman from a very powerful Capistrano Valley high school team.  After a stint at Irvine Valley College, Robert was recruited to Vanguard University by Coach Ruben Corral, where he became the GSAC Relief Pitcher of the year in 2010.  After graduation, Robert was signed by the LA Dodgers, where he was a member of the 2011 AZL Championship winning team.
Robert will be training pitchers, hitters and runs travel baseball teams at Lifeletics.

Damon Berryhill

Damon-Berryhill-535x750Last baseball season, Damon was named the Pacific Coast League (AAA) Manager of the Year after leading the Oklahoma City Dodgers to the division title despite 300 player transactions during the year, and coached their top rookies including Joc Pederson, Corey Seagar and Julio Urias.  He owns a 416-364 record in 8 seasons as a manager in professional baseball.
Coach Damon Berryhill will be working with catchers and hitters at Lifeletics and San Juan Sports Park in San Juan Capistrano throughout the baseball season.

Danny Moskovits

Danny Moskovits played professionally with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and is currently a starting pitcher for the Sussex County Miners of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball. He has previously pitched professionally with the Laredo Lemurs, New Jersey Jackals, and Québec Capitales.

Danny was an All-CIF infielder and pitcher at Corona del Mar High School, setting the Orange County single-season RBI record in 2009. He then continued his baseball career at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he stood out as a two-way player (starting infielder and pitcher). In his senior season, he recorded a 1.70 ERA before signing with the Diamondbacks.

Joe Terry

Josef Terry is a young, eager, retired professional baseball player. He played baseball for the Cincinnati Reds and coached at Santa Ana City College. He was privileged to work with baseball greats Adam Kennedy, Delino DeShields, Ken Griffey, Barry Larkin, and his long time hitting coach, Kenny Landreaux. The knowledge he obtained from these individuals allowed him to experience and understand baseball at a professional and collegiate level. He learned a vast majority of his fundamentals and style of play from these baseball icons. He also played under hall of fame coach Wally Kincaid. Kincaid invented west coast style baseball and was the mentor for top college baseball coaches around the nation including George Horton, Augie Garrido, Don Sneddon and Dave Serrano.

Bryce Arroyo


BryceArroyo_indiansCoach Bryce played for Ruben at Vanguard University as a highly sought after player from Brea Olinda High School.  Bryce has been working camps and clinics for Lifeletics and will now begin private and group hitting and fielding lessons during the week and on weekends.

 

David Longville


LONGVILLECoach David cut his teeth playing for Coach Ruben at 12 and 13u before prepping at Capistrano Valley HS.  After a solid college career, David has been coaching Lifeletics camps and clinics since the summer.  David will be doing private and group lessons weekly and on weekends at Lifeletics.
