With low numbers, high levels of individual attention, and a challenging itinerary of fundamental instruction, Lifeletics IS the best summer baseball camp in Southern California. Athletes are challenged daily and pushed both physically and mentally... all while having fun and competiting like mad! 2010 returns new station itineraries and the inclusion of strength and agility into daily workouts. The Summer Academy will also involve a separate, more advanced format for athletes ages 11-13. Involving additional intensity and highly technical instruction, Lifeletics welcomes advanced players to the most physical and challenging of workouts! It is Lifeletics’ goal to provide your athlete with a professional, safe and positive baseball camp environment to effectively learn skills… and the application of those skills into other arenas of life.

The Lifeletics Academy is 5-days of workouts involving professional hitting, pitching and fielding instruction in fun and exciting formats. Each day builds upon the next with a variety of drills and itineraries to keep workouts fresh. Athletes are divided based on age first, and skill level second, to learn and develop the fundamentals of baseball. These small groups rotate between semi-private instructional lessons in hitting, pitching and fielding, and station work in areas such as agility, baserunning, arm strengthening, bunting, and relays. The Academy focuses on preparing athletes for competition with an efficient and high-energy tempo..

6 : 1 Athlete to Coach Ratio
Perhaps the most important factor in understanding the amount of individual attention your athlete will get, athlete to coach ratio is the number of athletes at a camp relative to the number of coaches working. For example, if a Lifeletics Academy fills to a count of 68 athletes… there will be a minimum of 12 instructors present. This is an important figure to know for any baseball instruction event you chose to attend and why our program is often referred to as an Academy rather than a Camp.

Lifeletics Coaches and Instructors
The Lifeletics Baseball Camp uses current high school and college coaches, as well as professional instructors as camp staffmembers. All coaches are screened and checked showing strength of character and integrity in addition to knowledge of the baseball x's and o's. Jr Coaches (HS Varsity Players and former campers) are involved to assist with repetitions and cut down on lines and standing around.

Two-Week Format
There are two different weeks that form the full Lifeletics Summer Academy experience. While each stands alone as a workout program, the combination of Format A and B provides the entire Lifeletics training experience. These are titled Format A and Format B. South OC and Huntington Beach offer two weeks of each format.

Format A - Fundamental Baseball Instruction
Includes 9 semi-private lessons with top notch instructors. Morning stations blend individual instruction with station-to-station work (pitching / hitting / fielding / outfield / repetitions). Final hour continues with quick-hitting, high-energy station instruction in fundamental areas such as rundowns, cuts/relays, team defense, skills, baseball athleticism and batting practice. 2009 will include the addition of speed, strength and agility training as well as baserunning and lead-off fundamental instruction.

Format B - Fundamental Instruction plus Competition / Game Workouts
Morning format continues fundamental growth in major disciplines, while final hour involves game competition. Game competition is Lifeletics brand of baseball – points earned for proper fundamental execution of assigned tasks. Situational instruction on the field of play makes for an effective blend of competition and coaching. Attend both weeks for the full experience (discount available for multiple weeks).
